Aurelith requires an almost impossible pairing: high loyalty and high stillness, with wildness near zero. That is why the shrine has one saddle a century.

It dismisses bravado outright. What it waits for is the rider who kept the unopened letter and said nothing before the council — restraint, held under pressure, twice.
